Water Main Easement
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
That we, Jensen Design Build, Inc., its successors and assigns, does hereby grant unto the City
of Ames, Iowa, a municipal corporation the perpetual right to enter upon the land dcscribed and
the perpetual right to construct, reconstruct, clean up, operate, maintain, and cover over and
repair a water main upon, under, and across the land on attached Exhibit "A"and more
particularly described as follows:
Five feet on each side of the following described centerlines:
Beginning at a point on the South Line of Lot 18,First Addition,Dauntless Subdivision to the
City of Ames, Story County,Iowa, said point being 54 feet East of the Southwest Corner of said
Lot 18;thence North 284 feet.
Also: Beginning at a point on the West Line of Lot 19, said First Addition, said point being 61
feet South of the Northwest Corner said Lot 19;thence East parallel to and 61 feet distant from
the North Line of Lots 18 and 19 of said First Addition to the East Line of Lot 18.
Also:Beginning at a point on the South Line of Lot 19,said First Addition,said point being 61
feet West of the Southeast Comer of Lot 19,said First Addition;thence North 284 feet.
All of the above containing 0.215 acres.
The foregoing rights are granted upon the express condition that the City of Ames, Iowa, will
assume all liability for all damages to the above described property caused by the City's failure to
use due care in its exercise of the rights granted.
