EASEMENT
ELECTRIC UTILITY AND COMMUNICATIONS
KNOW ALL PERSONS BY THESE PRESENTS:
That the AMES COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT in the County of Story,State of Iowa,
its successors and assigns, Grantor, for good and valuable consideration,receipt of which is hereby
acknowledged, does hereby grant unto the CITY OF AMES, IOWA, a municipal corporation, its
successors and assigns,Grantee,the perpetual right to enter upon the land hereinafter described and
the perpetual right to construct,reconstruct,maintain,repair and use, such electrical lines and other
equipment for the purpose of conveying electrical current for power and lighting purposes, and for
communication transmissions, upon, underground, over or across the land described as:
"A ten (10) foot wide easement described as follows: Beginning at the northwest
corner of Lot 1, Fourth Addition, Ontario Heights Subdivision to Ames, Story
Count Iowa•thence west 10 feet;thence south 688 feet to the north line of Lot Nine
(9), Sixth Addition, Ontario Heights Subdivision; thence east 10 feet; thence north
688 feet to the point of beginning.
Also beginning at a point 210 feet south of the northwest corner of Lot 1, Fourth
Addition, Ontario Heights Subdivision; thence west 210 feet; thence south 10 feet;
thence east 210 feet; thence north 10 feet to the point of beginning.
All of the above is in the west % of the NW t/4 of Section 5 T83N R24W of the 5t'
P.M., Ames, Story County, Iowa.
Containing 0.20 acres, more or less."
all as shown on the plat attached and made a part hereof.
Grantors shall not cause or permit any trees or shrubs or above ground structures to be
located within the above described land.

Grantee shall assume liability for all damage to the real estate described herein to the extent
that such damage is caused by failure of the Grantee to use due care in the exercise of the rights
granted by this easement.
