PERMANENT UTILITY EASEMENT
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
That(Uwe),Jerry D. Smith and Judith A. Smith husband and wife (do/does)hereby grant unto the City of Ames,Iowa,
a municipal corporation its successors and assigns,including any public utility designated by the City,the perpetual right
to enter upon the land described and the perpetual right to construct, reconstruct, repair, maintain, and use overhead
electrical lines,telephone lines,wires,cables,poles,and other equipment on any part thereof for the purpose of conveying
electrical current for power and lighting purposes,and for communicative transmissions,on the land described as follows:
AS SHOWN ON THE ATTACHED PLAT MADE A PART HEREOF
The City shall bear the entire cost of designing and constructing the overhead electrical lines and telephone lines and the
associated improvements. The City shall pay the grantor(s) $680.00 for use of this easement.
The foregoing rights are granted upon the express condition that the City of Ames,Iowa,will assume all liability for all
damages to the above described property caused by the City's failure to use due care in its exercise ofthe rights granted.
