suBjwT: Permit to City of Ames for Sanitary Sewer
Attached are the original and one copy of a Revocable.Permit granting permission
to the City of Ames to install a sanitary sewer across lands of the Government at
the Hog Cholera Research Laboratory, Ames, Iowa.
The Permit has been approved by the Animal Disease and Parasite Research Division
and has been signed on behalf of the Service by F. H. Spencer as Acting Adminis-
trator. It will be appreciated if you will submit this permit to the City of Ames
for approval and signature. When both copies have been signed, the- signed copy
should be returned to this office and the original retained by the City. A con-
formed copy will be sent to you for your records.

REMAEGE PERMIT
Permission is hereby granted to the City of Anes,` herei"r referred to
as the Permittees to construct, lay, operate, and maintain a sanitary
seiner across lands of the Government at the Hog Cholera Research Labor*-
tory, Amos Iola, described as follows and as shown on the drawing atttached
hereto and: made a part hereof*
Beginning at a point 1015' East and 660' North of the center of
Section 1, T83N R24W, thence N 71016'E 24.5', thence it 446181E
219.01, thence N 830041E 131.5' to the Fast line of the NE
Frac.4 of said Section 1.
IL This Permit is granted subject to the following provisions and conditional
1. That the'coastrnctora, lay#xtg, operation, ands of
the sewer shall be accomplished without cost or eapease to
€ the United States and in such moaner as net `to endanger per
t sonnel or propert)' of the 'United States,
2. That the sewer shall be placed below .the surface of the
E, ground to a depth as agreed upon by the Superintendent of
the Station and the Permittee.
3. That the ditch shall be backfifled leaving the gronnd eleva-
tion smooth and ft conformance with the sarrotmding terrain.
!�. That the Permittee shall not occupy more land than is reason-
ably necessary for the purpose.
5. That`the Peruittee shall inspect the sewer at reasonable
intervals and shall repair immediately any defects found
therein.
6. That the Permittee shall bs.held responsible for

B. While it is hereunder., subject to the seed to the

revoked at the.gill of the Administrator, Agricultural Re-
search Service.* or his.duly authorized reptesentative and
upon the giving of notice of revocation this per d t shall

come null and void. Within a reasonable time after svh re-
vocation,;Perniittee shall remove all of, its property and the =
land utilized wader this Permit shall be left in th* same
comdi ion as when this,Permit vas first issued.
9. Ns rights order this Permit shall be transferred except by

shall.be'admitted to any.share or part of this Permit or to
any benefit to arise therefrom. Nothing.9 however, herein
contained shall be construed to extend to any incorporated
company if the permit be for the general benefit of such
corporation or company.
