RE : Amendment to Memorandum of E
Understanding - Ames Municipal F

Airport. F
Dear Mr. Dancer :
The Executive Council, in meeting held this date, approved
an Amendment to the Memorandum of Understanding between
Iowa State University of Science and Technology and the City
of Ames, Iowa, amending an agreement entered into in March
of 1947, regarding the use of the Ames Municipal Airport, by
deleting the following :
"A(3) To grant an easement to Iowa State College for
use of an area as designated on the plat attached
hereto, between the boundaries of the NE-SW runway,
the East-West runway, and the highways on the North
and East boundaries of the airport. Such easement
right to exist during the period of continuous and
exclusive use of the area by Iowa State College for 3
aeronautical purposes. This easement right shall cease
in event of failure of Iowa State College to pay the
rental as provided in article b-2 hereof. "
and substituting the following in lieu thereof :
"A(3.) To grant an easement to Iowa State University for the
use of an area as designated on the plat attached .
hereto between the northeast-southwest runway and the
driveway areas at said airport. Such easement right to
exist. during the period of continuous and exclusive
use of the area by Iowa State University for aeronautical
purposes. This easement right shall cease in event of
failure of Iowa State University to pay the rental as
provided in Article B(2) of the original Memorandum of
Understanding. "

The above mentioned Amendment bears prior approval of the
State Board of Regents and the Attorney General' s office.
