HomeMy WebLinkAboutA004 - Resolution No. 92-314 adopted August 20, 1992 RESOLUTION NO. 92-314 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DEDICATIONS AND EASEMENTS FOR WATER AND SANITARY SEWER LINES AT 2800 AND 2902 EAST 13TH STREET FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA WHEREAS, Doolittle Oil Company, Webster City, Iowa, has filed applications for annexation and rezoning of the parcel of land shown on the attached plat of survey, located at 2902 East 13th Street; and, WHEREAS, private water and sanitary sewer mains cross private property owned by Doolittle Oil Company to provide service to the Sauer-Sundstrand Company, and these private mains are not located inside easements; and, WHEREAS, Doolittle Oil Company would like to obtain municipal water and sewer service to their property at 2902 East 13th Street, and the proposed means of accomplishing this is to connect to the eight-inch sanitary sewer line and the twelve-inch water line that cross the Doolittle property at 2902 East Lincoln Way; and, WHEREAS, to allow Doolittle Oil Company to connect to the water and sanitary sewer lines that cross their property, the following actions must take place: 1. Dedication by Sauer-Sundstrand Company to the City of Ames of the eight-inch sanitary sewer line and the twelve-inch water line beginning at East 13th Street crossing Doolittle property to the northern most manhole and the first fire hydrant, respectively, located on Sauer-Sundstrand property; and, 2. Grant public utility easements from Doolittle Oil Company to the City of Ames for the water and sanitary sewer mains that cross Doolittle property; and, 3. Grant public utility easements from Sauer-Sundstrand Company to the City of Ames for water and sanitary sewer mains from their north property line to the nearest fire hydrant and manhole, respectively, located on Sauer-Sundstrand property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that the dedication and easements for water and sanitary sewer lines located at 2800 and 2902 East 13th Street are hereby accepted and attached hereto and made a portion hereof by this reference.
