Avigational Easement to the City of Ames, Iowa authorized by own law to and
operate Ames Municipal Airport, for the " w
P , use of Navigable Airspace as defined
by the Federal Aviation Act of 19581 over all of the following described real
estate, to-wit:
See Attached "Exhibit A"
By virtue of this easement, the grantor, for and on behalf of himself and all
successors in interest to any and all of the real property above described,
waives as to the City' of Ames only, any and all claims for damage of any kind
whatsoever incurred as a result of aircraft "using the Navigable Airspace"
granted herein. This easement does not grant or convey any surface use
rights, nor is it to be construed to grant any right to private persons or
corporations.
"Navigable Airspace" means airspace above the minimum altitudes of flight
prescribed by regulations issued under the Federal Aviation Act of 1958,

on 101 (24) 49 U.S Code 1301 , and shall include airspace needed to
ensure safety in the take-off and landing of aircraft.

Beginning at a point 98.00 feet South and 60.00 feet West of the Center of Section 14, Township 83
North,Range 24 West of the 5th P.M., City of Ames, Story County, Iowa;thence S00°00'00"E along
a line parallel with and 60.00 feet West of the East Line of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 14
and along the West Right-of-Way Line of South Duff Avenue as it is presently established, a distance
of 1,035.31 feet; thence S90°00'00"W, a distance of 681.87 feet; thence N00°00'00"W, a distance
of 465.55 feet; thence Northerly along a 110.00 foot radius curve to the right, a distance of 42.91
feet, said curve having a chord bearing of NI°10'30"E and a chord length of 42.64 feet; thence
N22021'00"E, a distance of 63.54 feet; thence Northerly along a 90.00 foot radius curve to the left,
