RIGHT OF WAY PERMIT AND EASEMENT
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
That (1/we), Shaffer Auto Body, Incorporated (do/does) hereby grant unto the City of
Ames, Iowa, a municipal corporation its successors and assigns, the perpetual right to
enter upon the land described and the perpetual right to construct, reconstruct, clean up,
operate, maintain, and cover over and repair a drainage and drainage & utility easements
upon, under, and across the land described as follows:
DESCRIPTION:
A permanent drainage and utility easement more particularly described as follows:
The west 355' of the east 380' of the north 40' and the east 25' of Lot 5, Pete Cooper
Subdivision; all located in the City of Ames, Story County, Iowa and containing 0.66 acres
more or less.
Also a permanent drainage easement more particularly described as the west 205' of the
east 230' of the south 280' of Lot 5, Pete Cooper Subdivision; all located in the City of
Ames, Story County, Iowa and containing 1.32 acres more or less.
See attached plat marked and made a part hereof.
The foregoing rights are granted upon the express condition that the City of Ames, Iowa,
will assume all liability for all damages to the above described property caused by the
City's failure to use due care in its exercise of the rights granted.
