RESOLUTION NO. 96-538
RESOLUTION TO ABANDON UTILITY EASEMENT
OVER PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1404-1410 SOUTH DUFF AVENUE
CITY OF AMES,IOWA
WHEREAS,the property owner of 1404-1410 South Duff Avenue has requested the removal and
relocation of existing City owned electrical lines on 1410 South Duff Avenue, as they would conflict with
the proposed construction for a new Hickory Park Restaurant; and
WHEREAS, the property owner has agreed to reimburse the City the cost of the relocation and
to provide a suitable easement for the new electric facilities; and
WHEREAS, no other utilities are located in the easement.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,
Iowa, that the public utility easement over property located at 1404-1410 South Duff Avenue as filed in
the Story County Recorder's Office dated June 6, 1989,Book 282, Page 129 be hereby abandoned.
ADOPTED THIS 12th day of November, 1996. } ,;
