KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS :
That (I/we) , R. A. Morken and R. L. Morken
(do/does) hereby grant unto the City of Ames, Iowa, a municipal
corporation, its successors and assigns , the perpetual right to
enter upon the 1 an d described and the perpetual right to construct,
reconstruct, clean up, operate, maintain, and cover over and repair
a steam line upon, under and across the 1 apd
described as follows .-
DESCRIPTION
A permanent easement more ,particularly described as follows: Beginning at the
N.E. Cor. of Lot -2, Block "A", S.E. Cor. E. 1/2, N.W. 1/4, Sec. 2-T83N-R24W
and running thence S. 100.3' , thence W. 2' , thence N. 30.3' , thence W. 6' ,,
thence N. 70' , thence E. 8' to the point of beginning.
Also, a temporary construction easement 6' in width described as follows:
Beginning at a point 70' South and 2' West of above mentioned N.E. Corner,
Lot 2 and running thence- S. 30.3' , thence W. 6` , thence P1. 30.3' , thence
E. 6' to the point of beginning.
See attached plat marked and made a part hereof.
The foregoing rights are granted upon the express condition that
the City of Ames , Iowa, will assume all liability for all damages to
the above described property caused by the City' s failure to use due
care in its exercise of the rights granted.
