AND MAINTAINING STEAMLINE
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
That the City of Ames, Iowa, a municipal corporation organized and existing under
the laws of the State of Iowa, in consideration of the sum of One and no/100-----
-----($1.00)----------DOLLAR and other valuable considerations in hand paid by
Department of Transportation, do hereby sell and convey unto the STATE OF IOWA,
for constructing and maintaining steamline, the following described premises situated
in the County of Story, State of Iowa, to-wit:
THE EASEMENT RIGHT, FOR CONSTRUCTING AND MAINTAININE STEAMLINE, GRANTED IS TO LAND .
DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
The South 27 feet of the East 55 feet of O'Neil Park, City of Ames, Iowa; exclusive
of the established street and containing 1485 square feet, more or less, as shown
on the Right of Way Plat Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by reference made a part
hereof.
THE REVERSIONARY RIGHT GRANTED IS TO LAND DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS AND IS A PORTION OF
THE TRACTS OF LAND DESCRIBED IN A SPECIAL WARRANTY DEED RECORDED IN THE STORY COUNTY
RECORDER'S OFFICE IN BOOK 148, PAGE 492, IN WHICH THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, RETAINED
A RIGHT OF REVERSION.
A parcel of land located in the SE 1/4 NW 1/4 and the SW 1/4 NE 1/4 of Section 10,
T83N, R24W of the 5th P.M. , in the City of Ames, Iowa, described as a strip of land
20 feet wide whose centerline begins at a point 25 feet east and 16 feet south of
the SE Corner of the NE 1/4 NW 1/4 said Section 10; thence due West 292 feet;
containing 5,840 square feet, more or less.
NOTE: It is assumed that the South line of the NE 1/4 NW 1/4 bears due East and West.
This easement is executed, given and recorded in accordance with the terms of a
certain real estate contract dated April 21, 1978, and on file with the Office of
Right of Way, Highway Division of the Department of Transportation in Ames, Iowa.
This easement and transfer is exempt from real estate transfer tax as grantor is a
governmental agency. Sec. 428A.2 of the Code of Iowa, 1975.
And the grantors do hereby covenant with the said STATE OF IOWA that said grantors
are lawfully seized of said premises; that they have good and lawful authority to
sell and convey the same; that said premises are free and clear of all liens and
encumbrances whatsoever; and said grantors covenant to warrant and defend the title
to said premises against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever, and each of
the undersigned hereby relinquishes all rights of dower, homestead and distributive
share in and to the above described premises.
Words and phrases herein, including acknowledgment hereof, shall be construed as
in the singular or plural number, and as feminine or masculine gender, according
to the context. d

execution of said instrument to be the voluntary act and deed of said corporation
by it voluntarily executed.
