RESOLUTION APPROVING EASEMENTS AND PAYMENTS ON EASEMENTS IN CONNECTION WITH
PROPOSED WATER POLLUTION CONTROL INTERCEPTOR SEWER.
WHEREAS, the first stage of the Water Pollution Control Project will be
construction of a 66-in. diameter interceptor sewer which will extend
approximately 4-1/2 miles from the present plant site to the site for the new
treatment plant; and
WHEREAS, easement lines for the interceptor sewer were defined after the
route was established; and
WHEREAS, compensation for these easements has been determined after a
n
professional appraisal of the final route location along with input from
plan outlined as

Payment for the Line - $2.40/lin.ft.
Crop Loss by Owner - $390/acre as full compensation for the 5-yr. period
following construction
Crop Loss by Operator - $400/acre as full compensation for the 5-yr. period
following construction
WHEREAS, signed easements have been received from three owners comprising

approximately 45 percent of the line length for which easements will be needed,
r other owners being anticipated within the next month;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
� tl N that signed easements and payment of $5,241.54 to David Norris, $18,617.75 to
Risely-Shin, and $3,702.79 to Ole and Irene Eide for easements for the
interceptor sewer are hereby approved as attached hereto and made a part hereof
by,tlis,� eference.
