J. an Iowa Corporation and Harold J. Nichols and Ruth Nic- hols of Story County, Iowa, in consideration of $1.00 and other good and valuable consideration, in hand paid do hereby grant unto the City of Ames, Iowa, a municipal corporation, its successors and assigns, a perpetual easement for the construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, mainte- nance, use and operation of a storm sewer system and related structures on, over, across and under a tract of land in the North Half (N 1) of the Southeast Quarter (SE-1) of Section 16, Township 83 North, Range 24 West of the 5th P.M. .. in the City of Ames, Story County, Iowa, that measures 10.0 feet on each side of a center line described as follows: Commencing as a point of reference at the Southwest corner of said North Half (N2) of the Southeast Quarter (SE-1) of said Section 16; thence North 89044'4.1" East (assumed for the pur- pose of this description only) along the South line of said North Half (N2) of the Southeast Quarter (SE-1) 1377. 50 feet to the Southeast Corner of Oakwood First Addition to the City of Ames, Iowa, an official plat; thence North 00°03'23" East along the East line of said Oakwood First Addition, 642. 08 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence continuing North 00°03'23" East 14.3.4 feet to a point; thence North 80°31'11" East 650. 9 feet to a point; thence South 89°28'49" East 390.0 feet to a point; thence North 07001'11" East 25. 2 feet, more or less, to the South line of Lot 4 in Gateway Center Subdivi- sion of the City of Ames, Iowa, an official plat, a point locat- ed 166. 80 feet West of the Southeast Corner of said Lot 4 and the terminal point of the easement centerline. Cochrane, to me personally known, who, being by me duly sworn, did say that he is the President and Secretary of said corporation executing the with- in and foregoing instrument, that no seal has been procured by the said cor- poration; that said instrument was signed on behalf of said corporation by authority of its Board of Directors; and that the said Everett W.
