Section TRANSMISSION LINE EASEMENT KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: The undersigned Owners, Maurice W. Good and Rachel J. Good, husband and wife, and the undersigned Tenant, for and in consideration of Two Thousand and no/100------ Dollars ($2 ,000 . 00 ) to be paid by the City of Ames, Iowa, a Municipal Corpora- tion, do hereby grant to the City of Ames, Iowa, its successors and as- signs, the right to construct, maintain and operate an electrical trans- mission line, and the poles, structures, wires, and other necessary equipment incident thereto, upon, over, under, along and across certain real estate described below, together with the right to enter upon said real estate for the purpose of constructing, maintaining, or removing said line, and the right to trim or remove with reasonable care, such trees as may interfere with the proper maintenance and operation there- of, and the right to remove from the strip of land specifically describ- ed below any obstruction, including buildings and other structures, which may interfere with the proper maintenance and operation of said line. Grantee also agrees that the present grade or ground level there- of will not be changed. If the balance of the consideration is not paid as above limited, then the initial payment shall be forfeited to the grant- or and both parties shall be released from all further obligation here- under. The City of Ames may enter said premises for the purpose of surveys and preliminary estimates, but shall not begin construction, and shall not file this agreement for record, until full consideration is aid. Each pole setting shall consist only of one pole without any braces or other structures . 2 . The entire each pole setting located on the South 72 feet of the South Half (SZ) of the Southeast Quarter (SE4) of Section Eighteen (18) , Township Eighty-four (84) North, Range Twenty-five (25) West of the 5th P.M. , Boone County, Iowa, shall be within two (2) feet of the south property line of the owners, and it is mutually understood and agreed that the said South 72 feet of the South Half (S2) of the Southeast Quarter (SEQ) includes the public road located along the south line of the said South Half (S2) of said Southeast Quarter (SE4) of said Section Eighteen (18) , Township Eighty--four (84) North, Range Twenty-five (25) West of the 5th P.M. , Boone County, Iowa. 3 . That there shall not be any pole settings or braces or other structures located on the owner' s property on the West 25 feet of the South Half (S2) of the Southeast Quarter (SE4) and the West 25 feet of the South 30 acres of the North Half (NZ) of the Southeast Quarter (SE4) of Section Eighteen (18) , Township Eighty-four (84) North, Range Twenty-five (25) West of the 5th P.M. , Boone County, Iowa.
