EASEMENT
We, Erben A. Hunziker and Margaret H. Hunziker, husband
and wife, and Donald M. ,Furman and Ruth W. Furman, husband and
wife, inconsideration of the sum of One Dollar, receipt of which
is hereby acknowledged, ,due hereby grant to the City of Ames, Iowa,
a Municipal. Corporation, its successors and assigns, the perpetual
right to construct, reconstruct, maintain and use its electric
lines, consisting of poles, wires, overhead or underground cables,
fixtures , anchors, and other similar equipment, or any part thereof,
upon, underground, over or across the following described real
estate:
The North Five (5) feet of Lots Six (6) , Ten (10) ,
Nine (9) , Eight (8) , Seven (7) , Twenty (20) and
Twenty-one (21) ; the East Five (5) feet of Lots
One (1) , Two (2) , Three (3) , Four (4) , Five (5)
and Six (6) ; the West Five (5) feet of Lots Ten
(10) , Eleven (11) , Twelve (12) and Thirteen (13) ;
the East Five (5) feet of Lots Seven (7) , Four-
teen (14) , Fifteen (15) , Twenty-one (21) , Twenty-
two (22) , Twenty-three (23) , Twenty-four (24) ,
Twenty-five (25) , Twenty-six (26) , and Twenty-seven
(27) ; the West Five (5) feet of Lots Sixteen (16) ,
Seventeen (17) , Eighteen (18) , Nineteen (19) and
Twenty (20) ; the South Twenty-five (25) feet of
Lots One (1) , Thirteen (13) , Fourteen (14) , Six-
teen (16) and Twenty-seven (27) and the South Five
(5) feet of Lots Ten (10) , Nine (9) , Eight (8) ,
Seven (7) and Nineteen (19) 9- the South five (5)
feet of Lots Four (4) and Eleven (11) ,
all within Fourth Addition, Glenview Heights Subdivision of Ames,
Iowa, together with a right to trim any trees to allow for clearance
of at least four (4) feet, where necessary, for the safe operation
and use of overhead electric lines.
Further the said Grantors hereby grant unto the City of
Ames, Iowa, a Municipal Corporation, its successors and assigns,
the perpetual right to construct underground watermains across
the following described real estate:
Lots Ten (10) , Nine (9) , Eight (8) , Seven (7) and
Nineteen (19) within Fourth Addition, Glenview
Heights Subdivision of Ames, Iowa.
Further the said Grantors grant to the City of Ames, Iowa,
the right to permit other utility companies to construct, and in the

same manner, maintain its utility facilities , jointly or severally, .
upon underground, over or across that portion of the lots within
Fourth Addition, Glenview Heights Subdivision of Ames, Iowa, as
described above.
The foregoing right is granted upon the express condition
that the City of Ames, Iowa, will assume liability for all damage
to the hereinbefore described real estate caused by the City 's
failure to use due care in its exercisQ„ of the granted right.
