KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
That (I/VgO , RONALD L. AND BARBARA R. COCHRAN, HUSBAND AND WIFE,
in consideration of the sum of One Dollar and other good ana valuable
consideration, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, (do/y1 %91)
hereby grant unto the City of Ames, Iowa, a municipal corporation,
its successors and assigns, the perpetual right to enter upon the
land described and the perpetual right to construct, reconstruct,
clean up, operate, maintain, and cover over and repair a sanitary
sewer upon, under and across the land described
as follows:
DESCRIPTION : A permanent easement 10 feet on both sides of and
a temporary easement up to 50 feet on both sides of a line more particularly
described as follows : Commencing at the southeast corner of Lot 3 in the
South 1/2 of the NW 1/4 of Section 26-T84N-R24W and running westerly along
the south property line of said Lot 3 a distance of 72. 1 feet; thence N
3003313511 W 121 feet to the point of beginning, said point being on the
south property line of the north 70 feet of the south 170 feet of said
Lot 3; thence N 3003313511 W 84 feet to the north property line of the
south 170 feet of said Lot 3.
See attached plat marked Exhibit A and made a part hereof.
There is also hereby granted a right of ingress and egress over
and across adjacent land and a temporary right of encroachment over
and across adjacent land on either side of the above described line
only during the period of construction.
The foregoing rights are granted upon the express condition that
the City of Ames, Iowa, will assume all liability for all damages to
the above described property caused by the City' s failure to use due
care in its exercise of the rights granted. _

SUPPLEMENTAL LETTER OF AGREEMENT
October 11, 1973
This supplemental letter of agreement outlines additional
consideration given to Ronald L. and Barbara R. Cochran for
the granting of the right of way permit and easement in con-
nection with the Skunk River Sanitary Outfall Extension and
made a part thereof.
