Wife, in consider ion of the um of one dollar, receipt of which is hereby
acknowledged, do hereby grant to the City of Ames, Iowa, a Municipal Corporation,
' its successors and assigns, the perpetual right to construct, reconstruct, .
repair, maintain and use its overhead and underground electric lines
anchors, wires, cables and other similar equipment or an � poles,

with a right to trim trees for safe operation of overhead electric lines for
the sole purpose of conveying electric current for power and lighting purposes
overhead or underground of the real estate described as follows:

County Iowa; thence east 2/3 feet, thence south 190 feet, thence
west 5 feet, then a north 185 feet, thence west 208 feet thence
north 5 feet to the_point of beginning.

The foregoing rights are granted upon the express condition that the City
of Ames will assume liability for all damage to the hereinbefore described pro-
perty caused by said City's failure to use due care in its exercise of the
granted rights.
