-We, William B. Vogt and C*arles Sondrol, in consideration of the sum of
One Dollar, reciptdof_which isahereby acknowledged, do here by grant to the
City of Ames, Iowa,"a Municipal Corporation, its successors and assigns, the
perpetual right to construct., reconstruct, repair, maintain, and use its
undergr&4nd electric lines, wires, cables and other similar equipment or any
part thereof, for'the sole purpose of conveying electric current for power
and _lighting purposes undexgroi}nd, together with the right to provide over-
head electric service in the e4ent of any emergency, on the following described
real estate:
The West 7.5 feet of the North 53 feet of lot 13, Block 2, Clarks
Subdivision, of NE 4, NE 4j NE 4, Sec. 8, T-83N, R-24W, Sth P.M.
Ames, Story County, Iowa.
These rights are granted upon the express condition that the City of
Ames shall assume -liability for-all ,.damages -to the -heresnbsfvre described
real estate, caused by the City's failure to use due care in the exercise
of its said rights.
