HomeMy WebLinkAboutA001 - Release of Easement PA BOOK. /D ' v - E--7 -- RELEASE OF RIGHT OF WAY PERMIT AND EASEMENT KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: That for and in consideration of the sum of One Dollar, the assignment of a new written electric utility easement dated �,l/ A✓ / r �,� and shown as a shaded section on the attached print, made a part of this release, and other valuable consideration, the undersigned City of Ames, Iowa, hereby releases and cancels any and all other right-of-way permits and easements for electrical utility purposes that it has in possession or has been committed to transfer by purchase from Iowa Electric Light and Power per the purchase agreement dated MN,y 4ia ( on the following described premises in the County of Story, in the State of Iowa: Beginning at the Northeast corner of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 14, Township 83 North, Range 24 West of the 5th P.M. , Story County, Iowa, thence North 890 45' West, along the north line of the Northwest 1/4 of said Section 14, a distance of 615.0 feet; thence South 00 01' West, 247.0 feet; thence East, 615. 0 feet to a point 244. 0 feet South of the Northeast corner of the Northwest 1/4 of said Section 14; thence North 244.0 feet to the point of beginning, except the North 35 feet and except the Highway Right-of-Way on the East side thereof. Any and all other right-of-way permits and easements heretofore granted shall remain in full force and effect save and except as it applies to the above described premises. Newbrough and Louise Whitcome, to me personally known, who, being by me duly sworn, did say that Donald R. Newbrough is Mayor and that Louise Whitcome is City Clerk of the City of Ames, Iowa, a municipal corporation, and that the seal affixed to the written instrument is the Corporate Seal of said Corporation; that said instrument was signed and sealed in behalf of said Corporation, by authority of the City Council; and that each of them acknowledge the execution of said instrument to be the voluntary act and deed of said Municipal Corporation.
