EASEMENT Fee $1 .50
THE UNDERSIGNED, in consideration of One Dollar and other good
and valuable consideration, do hereby grant to the City of Ames, Iowa; a
municipal corporation, its successors and assigns, the perpetual right to
construct, reconstruct, maintain and use underground electric and telephone
lines, conduit, and related fixtures, together with the right to extend to
telephone companies the right to use separately or jointly with the City of
Ames the areas included in this easement for the purposes above enumer-
ated, under the following described real estate situated in Story County,
Iowa, to-wit:
The North Five (5) feet of the East Seventy (70) feet of Lot Nine
(9), Block Six (6),-Original Town of the City of Ames, Iowa.
The foregoing right is granted upon the express condition that the City
of Ames will assume responsibility for all damage to the above described
real estate caused by the City's exercise of its granted right, except that
the City shall not be liable for damages to shrubs, bushes and trees, situ-
ated on said real estate.
