consideration of the sum. of One Dollar, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged,
do hereby grant to the City of Ames, Iowa, a municipal corporation, it successors '
and assigns, the pertetual right to construct, reconstruct, repair, maintain,
and use its underground electric lines, wires, cables and other similar equipment
or any part thereof for the sole purpose of conveying electric current for
power and lighting purposes, underground of the real estate described as follows:

The foregoing right is granted upon the express condition that the City of
.^;es gill assume liability for all damages to the hereinbefore described property
