RIGHT OF WAY PERMIT AND EASEMENT
That Russell M. Meads and Mary A. Meads, Husband and Wife, in
consideration of the sum of one dollar, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged
does hereby grant to the City of Ames, Iowa, a Municipal Corporation, its
successors and assigns, the perpetual right to construct, reconstruct, repair,
maintain and use its underground electric lines, wires, cables and other simi-
lar equipment or any part thereof for the sole purpose of conveying electric
current for power and lighting purposes underground of the real estate des-
cribed as follows:
The Southeast 2. 5 feet of the West 85 feet of Lot 46 of Mid-
part of Ridgewood Addition and Kate R. Logan Subdivision
to Ames, Iowa,
together with a temporary right to provide overhead electrical service in event
of emergency.
The foregoing rights are granted upon the express condition that the
City of Ames will assume liability for all damage to the hereinbefore described
property caused by said City's failure to use due care in its exercise of the
granted rights.
