RIGHT OF WAY PERMIT AND EASEMENT
We, Erben A. Hunziker and Margaret H. Hunziker, husband and
wife, and Donald M. Furman and Ruth W. Furman, husband and wife,.
of Ames, Story County, Iowa* in consideration of the sum of One
Dollar, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant to
the City of .Ames, Iowa, a municipal corporation, its successors and
assigns, the perpetual right to construct, reconstruct, maintain
and use its electric lines, consisting of poles, wire, overhead
or underground cables, fixtures, anchors and other similar equip-
ment, or any part thereof, for the sole purpose of conveying elec-
trid current for power and lighting purposes, together with the
right to extend to any telephone, electric, gas or power company
the right to use jointly with the grantees, any pole placed pur-
suant to the provisions thereof, together with the right to trim
any trees to allow for clearance of at least four feet, where
necessary to secure adequate clearance for the safe operation of
the electric lines, upon, underground, or adjacent to the certain
piece of real estate, described as:
The ;South 5 feet of Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 15 and 191
The North 5 feet of Lots 12, 13, 14, 17, and 18;
The West 5 feet of Lot 2;
The East 5 feet of Lots 1, 3, 14, 15 and 16;
5 feet along the Southwest side of Lots 5, 6, 7, and 8;
5 feet along the Northwest side of Lots 8, 9, and 18;
5 feet along the Northeast side of Lots 9, 16 and 171
4 feet along the Southeast side of Lot 10;
4 feet along the Northwest side of Lot lls
The East 4; feet of Lot 5;
The West 4 feet of Lot 4;
5 feet on either side of the common line between:
Lots 9 and 18, Lots 9 and 19, Lots 10 and 19; and
Lots 11 and 19;
5 feet along the Northwest side of Lot 10;
A 10 foot strip of land in Lot 9, the centerline
of such land commences at the most northern corner
of Lot 9 and runs southerly a distance of 30 feet;
A 5 foot strip of land in Lot 18, the centerline
of such land commences at the Northeast corner of
Lot 9 and runs Southeasterly a distance of 25 feet,
all within Bel-Air Eighth Addition to the City of Ames, Iowa.
We further do hereby grant to the City of Ames, Iowa, a
municipal corporation, its successor and assigns, the perpetual

services over and across the real estate described as follows:
The West 5 feet of Lot 2 and
The East 5 feet of Lot 3,
all within Bel-Air Eighth Additicn to the City of Ames, Iowa.
The foregoing is granted upon the express condition that the
City of Ames will assume liability for all damage to the herein-
before described real estate caused by the City' s failure to use
due care in its exercise of the granted rights.

the foregoing instrument and acknowledged that they executed the
same as their voluntary act and deed.
