RIGHT OF WAY PERMIT AND EASEMENT
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
That Green Meadows Co., a Colorado corporation authorized and
empowered to transact business in the State of Iowa, and in consideration of
the sum of One Dollar, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant
unto the City of Ames, Story Co4inty, Iowa, its successors and assigns, the
perpetual right to construct, reconstruct, maintain and use its electric lines,
consisting of poles, wires, overhead and underground cables, fixtures, anchors
and other similar equipment or any part thereof, for the sole purpose of con-
veying electric current for power and lighting purposes, together with the right
to extend to any-telephone, electric, gas or power company the right to use
jointly with the grantee, any pole placed pursuant to the provisions thereof,
together with the right to trim any trees to allow for clearance of at leas
four feet, where necessary to secure adequate clearance for the safe operation
of the utilities, upon, underground or adjacent to that certain piece of real
estate described as follows:
The West 5 feet of Lots 1, 29 3, 4, 5, and 6;
The East 5-feet of Lots 7, 8, 99, 109 11 and 12;
The South 3.75 feet of Lots 4, 7 and 11;
The North 3.75 feet of Lots 5 and 10; and,
the North 15 feet of lot 12,
all within Crestwood Fifth Addition to Ames, Iowa.
The foregoing right is granted upon the express condition that the
City of Ames will assume liability for all damage to the hereinbefore described
real estate caused by the Cityts failure to use due care in its exercise of the
granted right.

Thatcher, to me personally known, who, being first duly sworn, did say that they
are respectively the President and Secretary-Treasurer of Green Meadows Co.
and that the seal affixed to the above instrument is the seal of the said cor-
poration and that the instrument was signed on behalf of the said corporation
by authorization of its Board of Directors and the said A. D. Thatcher and Grace
G. Thatcher acknowledged the execution of the above instrument to be the vol-
untary act and deed of said corporation.
