RIGHT OF WAY PERMIT & EASEMENT

We, Chas. S. Reddy and Helen Agnes Reddy, husband and wife, in
consideration of the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) and other valuable
1consideration, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant
to the City of Ames, Iowa, a municipal corporation, its successors and assigns,
the perpetual right to construct, reconstruct, maintain and use its electric
lines, consisting of poles, wires, overhead and underground cables, fixtures,
anchors and other similar equipment or any part thereof, for the sole purpose
of conveying electric current for power and light purposes, together with the
right to extend to any telephone, electric or power company the right to use
jointly with the grantee, any pole placed pursuant to the provisions hereof,
together with the right to trim any trees to allow for clearance of at least
four (4) feet where necessary to secure adequate clearance for the safe
operation of the electric lines, upon, underground or adjacent to that real
estate located in Reddy's Subdivision of Ames, Iowa, substantially as
indicated upon the blue print attached hereto and made a part hereof, and
more specifically described as:
The West five (5) feet of Lots 2, 3, and 4.
The East five (5) feet of Lot 19 except the North 30
feet and the South 80 feet thereof.
A ten (10) foot wide easement described as follows:
Commencing at a point 185 feet west of the Northeast
Corner of Lot 2, Reddy's Subdivision of Ames, Iowa,
thence North 30 feet to the North line of Lot 1 of
said Subdivision, thence west 10 feet, thence south
30 feet, thence East 10 feet to the point of beginning.
The foregoing right is granted upon the express condition that the
City of Ames will assume liability for all damage to the herei.nbef ore described
property caused by said city's failure to use due care in its exercise of the
granted right. J,

Chas. S. Reddy and Helen Agnes Reddy, husband and wife., to me personally
known who did say that they are the persons who affixed their signatures to
the above and .foregoing Right of Way permit and easement and declared the
'` execution of the instrument to be their voluntary act and deed.
