RIGHT OF WAY PERMIT AND EASEMENT
We, Alfred L. Stoll and Margaret 0. Stoll ,
husband and wife, of Story County, Iowa, in consideration of the
sum of one dollar, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do hereby
rant to the City of Ames, Iowa, a municipal corporation, its
successors and assigns, the perpetual right to construct, reconstruct,
maintain and use its electric lines, consisting of poles, wires;
overhead or underground cables, fixtures, anchors, and other
similar equipment or any part thereof for the sole purpose of con-
eying electric current for power and lighting purposes, together
ith the right to extend to any telephone, electric or power compan
the right to use jointly with the grantee any pole placed pursuant
to the provisions hereof, and together with the right to trim any
trees where necessary to secure adequate clearance for the safe
operation of the electric lines, upon, underground, or adjacent
to the 5 feet along the East boundary line of the real estate
described as:
Lot Seventeen (17) Broadmoor Addition to the City of
Ames, Iowa.
The foregoing right is granted upon the express condition
that the City of Ames will assume liability for all damages to the
hereinbefore described property caused by the said City' s failure
to use due care in its exercise of the granted right.
