RIGHT OF WAY PERMIT AND EASEMENT
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
That we, Reinhard Friedrich and Wella Friedrich, husband and
wife, of the City of Ames, Story County, Iowa, for and in considera-
tion of the sum of One Dollar, the receipt of which is hereby
acknowledged, do hereby grant unto the City of Ames, Story County,
Iowa, its successors and assigns, the perpetual right to construct
reconstruct, operate and maintain electric lines consisting of
poles, wires, cables, conduits, fixtures, anchors and other
similar equipment, including the right to trim or remove trees
within such areas where necessary to secure a clearance of four
(4) feet from the wires or poles, together with the right to extend
to any telephone, telegraph, electric or power company the right
to use separately or jointly with the City the areas included in
this easement for the purposes above enumerated, over, upon, across
or under, the following described real estate situated in the
County of Story and State of Iowa, to-wit:
The East Ten (10) feet of Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 91 & iog
The South Five (5) Feet of Lots 1 and 5;
-- The North Five (5) Feet of Lots 2 and 6;
The North Ten (10) feet of Lots 11, 12, 13, 14, 151 & 16;
�. The West Ten (10) feet of Lot 15;
The East Ten (10) feet of Lot 16;
The South Ten (10) Feet of Lots 17, 18 & 19;
The Rear Ten (10) Feet of Lots 20, 210 22, & 23.1
The Rear Ten (10) Feet of Lots 24, 250 26, 27, & 28;
The North Ten (10) Feet of Lot 29;
- The South Ten (10) Feet of Lot 30;
The Rear Ten (10) Feet of Lots 30, 31, 32 & 33;
- The North Ten (10) Feet of Lots 34 and 35;
The South Ten (10) Feet of Lot 36;
all in Edgewood Terrace Second Addition to the City of Ames, Story

The foregoing right is granted upon the express condition
that the City of Ames will assume liability for all damage to the
above described property caused by said City's failure to use due
care in its exercise of the granted right.
