RIGHT OF WAY PERMIT AND EASEMENT
We, George D. Tripp and Helen E. Tripp, husband and wife,
in consideration of the sum of One ($1.00) Dollar, receipt of
which is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant to the City of Ames,
Iowa, a municipal corporation, its successors and assigns, the
perpetual right to construct, reconstruct, maintain and use its
electric lines, consisting of poles, wires, overhead or undergroun
cables, fixtures , anchors, and other similar equipment or any
part thereof for the sole purpose of c=.,eving electric current
for power and lighting purposes, together with the right to extend
to any telephone, electric or power company the right to use
jointly with the grantee any pole placed pursuant to the pro-
visions hereof, and together with the right to trim any trees
where necessary to secure adequate clearance for the safe oper-
ation of the electric lines upon, underground, or adjacent to the
following described real estate
The East 10 feet and the North 33 feet
of property described as :
Lot 3, except the North 33 feet thereof,
of the Northeast quarter of Section 11,
Township 83' North, Range 21L :Nest of the
5th P. M. , Ames, Iowa.
The foregoing right is granted upon the expressed con-
dition that the City of Ames will assume liability for all damage
to the herein before described property caused by the said Cityts
failure to use due care in its exercise of thp granted right.
