RIGHT OF WAY PERMIT AND EASEMENT
We, Erben A. Hunziker and Margaret H. Hunziker, husband
and wife, and Donald M. Furman, single, and Hazel B. Rood, widow,
of Story County, Iowa, in consideration of the sum of One Dollar
(01.00) , receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant
to the City of Ames, Iowa, a municipal corporation, its successors
and assigns, the perpetual right to construct, reconstruct,
maintain, and use its electric lines, consisting of poles, wires,
overhead or underground cables, fixtures, anchors, and other
similar equipment or any part thereof, for the sole purpose of
conveying electric current for power and lighting purposes,
together with the right to extend to any telephone, electric or
power company the right to use jointly with the grantee, any pole
placed pursuant to the provisions hereof, together with the right
to trim any trees where necessary to secure adequate clearance for
the safe operation of the electric lines, upon, underground, or
adjacent to that certain piece of real estate hereinafter describe
in the following manner :
Commencing at a point 400.0 feet north Oo 51'
west of the southwest corner of the southeast
quarter of the northeast quarter of the south-
west quarter of Section 35, Township 84 north,
?range 24 west of the 5th P. M., Iowa, thence
north Oo 511 west 282.1 feet to the northwest
corner of said southeast quarter of the north-
east quarter of the southwest quarter of
section 35; thence south 89' 49 , east 659.9
feet to the northeast corner of said southeast
quarter of the northeast quarter of the south-
west quarter of section 35; thence south Oo
47t east 680 .0 feet to the southeast corner of
said southeast quarter of the northeast quarter
of the southwest quarter of section 35; thence
west 169.4 feet along the south line of said
southeast quarter of the northeast quarter of
the southwest quarter of section 35; thence

corner of Lot 12, Hunziker-Furman Third
Subdivision, Ames, Iowa, thence West 60.0 feet
to the northwest corner of said lot 12; thence
north Oo 471 west 180,0 feet to the northeast
corner of lot 6 of said Hunziker-Furman Third
Subdivision; thence west 190.0 feet to the
northwest corner of said lot 6; thence north Oo
471 west 70.0 feet; thence west 240.1 feet to
the point of beginning,
substantially as indicated upon the blueprint plan marked Exhibit

described as :
The north 5 feet of lots 1 and 2,

The south 5 feet of lot 3,
The west 5 feet of lots 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10,
The east 5 feet of lots 11, 12, 13, 1L. and 15,
The west 5 feet of lots 16, 17, 18 and 19 .
The foregoing right is granted upon the express condition
that the City of Ames will assume liability, for all damage to the
hereinbefore described property caused by said cityts failure to
use due care in its exercise of the granted right.
