Speck, husband and wife, of Story County, Iowa, for and in consideration of the sum of One Dollar, and other valuable consideration, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant unto the City of Ames, Iowa, its successors and assigns, the perpetual right within the areas described herein to construct, reconstruct, operate, and maintain electric lines consisting of poles, wires, cables, conduits, fixtures, anchors, and other similar equipment, including the right to trim or remove trees within such areas where necessary to secure a clearance of four (4) feet from the wires or poles, together with the right to extend to any telephone, telegraph, electric or power company the right to use separately or jointly with the City the areas included herein for the purposes above enumerated" over the following described real estate situated in Story County, State of Iowa, to-wit: The North Five (5) Feet of Lots 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 79 89 9, and 10, all in Speck's Subdivision of the South One Hundred Seventy-eight (178) Feet of the Northwest Quarter (N61-��.�-) of the Northwest Quarter (TENT;) of Section Thirty- five (35), Township Eighty-four (84) North, Range Twenty- four (24) West of the 5th P.
