I and. wife, in consideration of the sum of One Dollar ( 1.00), reciept
of which is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant to the City of Ames,
Iowa, a municmpal corporation, its successors and assigns, the perpet-
ual right to construct, reconstruct, maintain and use its electric
lines, consisting of underground cables, fixtures and other similar
equipment or any part thereof, for -the sole purpose of convening
electric current for power and lighting purposes, together with the
° right to extend to any telephone, electric or power company- the right
to use jointly- with the grantee for underground cables pl. ced pursuant

All, except the Mouth 158 feet, of that certain parcel of
land conveyed by deed recorded in Book 98, rage 41/, in the office of
the Recorder of Story County, Stateof Iowa; more particularly described;
commencing at a point on the South line of the northwest Quarter (Iua�1-)
of the Southeast Quarter !.Su1--) of Section 5, Township 83 N., Range 24 W.
of the 5th PAi, Story- County, Iowa, situated 61,9.6 feet .East of the South-
west Corner of said NW-1SE Sec. 5-83-2Zr and running thence North parallel
to the East line of Clear Creek Addition to Ames, Iowa a distance of 158
feet to the point of beginning; thence continuing North on said line a
distance of 104 feet to the Northwest Corner of the original parcel,

distance of 170 feet to a point on the jest line of Oliver Avenue in the
Cite;,- of Ames, thence Southwesterly along the West line of Oliver Ave. to

thence West parallel to the South line of said 1v'34 SFI Sec. 5-83-24 a distance
of 150 fe-:t more or less to the point of beginning, cont<,ining 0.38 acre

The Easement being described as follows: commencing at a
point in the North line of the above described tract, distant 75 feet

thence South parallel to said last line of Clear Creel: Addition a distance
of 30 feet, thence bearing S 170 - 55' W a distance of 13 feet, thence
South a distance of 12.26 feet, thence S 170 - 55' E a distance of 13 feet,
