Reiste, husband and wife, of Ames, Story County, Iowa, in consideration of the sum of One Dollar and other good and valuable considerations, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do i hereby grant to the City of Ames, Iowa, a municipal corporation, its successor and assigns, the perpetual right to construct, reconstruct, maintain, and use its electric lines, consisting of poles, wires, overhead or underground ca bles fixtures, anchors, and other similar equipment or any part thereof, for the sole purpose of conveying electric current for power and lighting purposes, together with the right to extend to any telephone, electric or power company the right to use jointly with the Grantee, any pole placed pursuant to the provisions hereof, together with the right to trim any trees when necessary to secure adequate clearance for the safe operation of the electric lines, upon, underground_, or adjacent to that certain piece of real estate hereinafter described in the following manner: The East 5 Feet of Lot 1, Block 1; Smth 5 Feet of Lots 1 and 2, Block 1; South 5 feet of Lots 1, 2 and 3, Block 2; West 5 Feet of Lot 3, Block 2; West 10 Feet of Lots b, 7, 8 and 11, Block 3; East 10 Feet of Lots 1, 3 and 4, Block 3; North 5 Feet of Lots 1 and 2, Block 3; South 5 Feet of Lot 3, Block 3; i South 10 Feet of Lot 4, Block 3; North 5 Feet of Lots 9, 10 and 11, Block 3; South 5 Feet of Lot 8, Block 3; all in Reiste's Second Addition to the City of Ames, Iowa; substantially as indicated upon the blue print plan marked Exhibit "A", attached hereto and made a part hereof.
