We have draft the resolution and notice with September 13 as the date for the hearing. The time is currently blank and will need to be completed. Please let us know if the City Council prefers a different date for the hearing. As mentioned in my July 29 email below with the agenda title, a hearing in September may minimize the need for another city council meeting. Please let me or Dave Claypool know if you have any questions. We are happy to arrange the publication of the notice if you prefer after the City Council meets. We will get you the proceedings on Tuesday, if that is ok. We thought that the hearing could be held on September 13 and the city council could also authorize the issuance of the bonds at that time. That would minimize the process to two, rather than three, city council meetings. Let us know if that timing works. Thank you. We're doing fine here in Ames. The Manager, Clerk, and I will set the tentative agenda for the August 9 meeting on Monday,August 1, and then finalize the agenda and make all materials available to Council members on Friday,August 5. 1 anticipate being out of the office that entire week, so please copy in City Clerk Diane Voss on all correspondence and draft resolutions and notices (dvoss@city.ames.ia.us). I'll be in the office through Wednesday next week. I don't anticipate any problems, but if any issues come up at the Trustees' meeting we will have time while I am still here to make adjustments before the City Council agenda is set.
