X. Certificate attesting the transcript. „2'. County Auditor's Order Regarding Conduct of Election. 4. Certificate with respect to the publication of the Notice of Special Election by the County Auditor. After the County Auditor has arranged to have the Notice published, we would t4lv G` �pnreciate it if you would help us complete our records by filling out this Certificate and obtaining_ ih affidavit of publication from the newspaper. We have sent a copy of the proposition language to the Story County Auditor for preparation of the notice and ballot form. Section 47.6 of the Code of Iowa provides that a City shall by written notice inform the County Commissioner of Elections of the proposed date of election at least 32 days in advance of that UL C proposed date and obtain written approval from the Commissioner of such date. The enclosed 0 resolution directs you to give such notice by submitting a copy of the resolution to the County Auditor a DORSEY & WHITNEY LLP Page 2 and the Auditor should sign the Order Regarding Conduct of Election to ratify and confirm the details of the election as set out in the resolution. We are enclosing an extra copy of the resolution for this purpose. As bond counsel for the City,we prepared the proposed language for the ballot proposition (a copy of which is enclosed), and we would be pleased to offer any assistance you might need in preparing for the special election. For example, if voting machines will be used and if there is not sufficient space in which to print the entire proposition, we can help prepare a summary of the proposition. To help us carry out our responsibilities as bond counsel,we would appreciate it if you would send us a copy of the published Notice of Special Election and, if possible, a proof of the form of ballot before it is printed.
