Dear Jill:
We have prepared and enclose proceedings to set a date for the hearing on the issuance and
authorizing the sale of the captioned Bonds for use at the August 25 Council meeting. Please note
that the maximum amount of the bond issue must be inserted into the enclosed resolution and notice
prior to adoption and publication.
The proceedings enclosed are as follows:
1. Minutes of the August 25 Council meeting to fix the time and place for the hearing
on the issuance and authorizing the sale of the Bonds, with resolution following.
The form of notice of hearing is set out under Section 2 of the resolution, and an extra copy
is enclosed for delivery to the publisher.
2. Certificate attesting the transcript.
3. Certificate as to publication of the notice of hearing, to which must be attached the
publisher's affidavit of publication with a clipping of the notice as published. The notice must be
published at least once and not less than 4 nor more than 20 days before the meeting date set for the
hearing in a legal newspaper of general circulation in the City.
As soon as the notice of hearing appears in the newspaper,please have a clipping forwarded
to our office so we may check its sufficiency.

Please do not date and return the certificate attesting to the publication of the notice (the last
page of the proceedings)until you have received the publisher's affidavit,but please return one fully
executed copy of all of the other completed pages to us as soon as they are available.
As soon as we are advised of the date set for the hearing, we will prepare and forward the
necessary additional proceedings.
In addition, when the City is ready to proceed with the bond sale and we have received the
necessary additional information, we will prepare and forward the notice of sale for publication in
your newspaper.
